Sacred wisdom of India

The holy wisdom of Indian contains a large and voluminous collection of writings from both learned and holy people. Much of the wisdom has been handed down orally from generation to generation. It is said of the oldest scriptures in the world, the Vedas, that they are a direct copy – a blueprint – of the universe.

In the first part of the book I give – to the best of my ability – a short and easily accessible overview of and insight into several millennia of India’s spiritual treasures of wisdom. Among other things, you can read about:

  • The Vedas – the Oldest Scriptures in the World
  • The Rishis – the great “seers” of the past
  • OM – the Universal Sound
  • Sanskrit – The Sacred Language
  • Mantra – Sacred Words
  • The Upanishads – The Spiritual Philosophy of Life
  • The Vedanta Philosophy – everything is oneness
  • The Yoga Philosophy – 8 steps to realization
  • Kali Yuga – our era

and you will get a short introduction to Hinduism via:

  • The Bagavatgita – The Hindu “Bible”
  • The Concept of Bhakti – devotional love
  • The symbolic language of Hinduism
  • The Image Symbolism of the Elephant God
  • The “Infinite Universe” – Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva
  • Yantra – Geometric Symbols
